My mom recently has to have knee surgery and her surgeon recommended that since it was going to be a few weeks before she was able to get the surgery to get herself a knee brace as that would help some until the surgery. She wore it off and on through the day and commented about how it was actually helping her out some with the pain. She said that it was a lot easier for her to get up and down stairs and for times when she needed to do a lot walking around. The brace goes on easily and is very easy to adjust how tight you want it on the knee. The cushioning of the knee brace helps to absorb the impact walking or running.
